  • 4 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips optional

Instructions
 

  • In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar and baking powder.
  • Stir in milk, orange juice, orange zest, melted butter and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  • Stir in a few chocolate chips for melty chocolate pockets.
  • Cook on high for 50-70 seconds, checking for doneness. If the center looks slightly undercooked, microwave in 10-15 second bursts.
  • Let it cool slightly, then dig in! Add whipped cream or a dusting of powdered sugar for extra flair.
